What makes a man righteous or evil?
Set in what, in another world- would be California, Highline city exists. Rifts of time and space crackle across the island the city was built upon, utterly destroying the concept of the norm for many. Dinosaurs roam through one district, while in another an unceasing blizzard rages through the cityscape- making snowy beaches in the still tropical landscape. Anything is possible in the city. That said, it's a new dawn for the world as a whole. As Earth entered a sort of prosperity following the Utopian War, a long and gruesome battle between Earth and extraterrestrial forces, heroes ascended to the point we know them to be at from comic books, movies, and dreams. They work as the defenders of the people, guardians of their fellow man. They are nothing short of paragons. However, light cannot exist without darkness. With the rise of heroes came Villains. These villains maintained the equilibrium of the world by introducing mayhem and calamity to the public. These villains became simply villainous for a myriad of reasons of course- personal gain, the need to get by, greed, envy, lust, wrath, to spread forth the seed of Chaos.. it never mattered. Most villains nowadays are looked on as terrorists, a title in which some revel and some detest. The equilibrium lets you decide what YOU will be. For any good deed, there will be a punishment, and for any bad deed, there will be someone to rise against darkness for their fellow man.

While Highline is a superhero-based server, you can go beyond that. You can make an alien, a ghost, Genghis Khan's nephew's brother's sister's father's great uncle's roommate- anything you want! And if that didn't sell you, you can bully the mods. Mostly.
High-Line's a big place- you wanna get by, you gotta get by the God-Like Entities, the invading Servus armadas, a whole legion of mob bosses, and the evil hot-dog-cart guys. Just try to survive. Or don't.
